Crafted in 18k brushed gold, our Scroll Pendant is a modern-day relic — a technically intricate, deeply sentimental piece designed to hold and protect a private message, mantra, or love letter to oneself. This is a necklace made not only to be worn, but to be lived with — a personal archive, a secret story, a quiet ritual of remembrance and self-expression.

Drawing from the rich tradition of emotional jewelry throughout history, this necklace pays homage to the amulets and lockets of centuries past — pieces that often held braided locks of hair, devotional verses, or inscribed symbols.

With a modular construction, the pendant features a customizable scroll enclosed in a pair of brushed gold tubes, capped by inverted diamond-set ends. Every component screws together seamlessly, allowing the piece to be worn in multiple ways. Inside, each scroll is handwritten on washi, a traditional Japanese paper known for its soft texture and durable plant-based fibers.

The calligraphy featured in the product image is a sample to illustrate style only — the final piece includes a custom handwritten scroll on a finer, more delicate washi paper, selected for its ability to roll compactly and hold ink with a soft, organic texture.
